What's In The Box

Below ingrediants are included in the box,

  • Dhal 128g
  • Turmeric 50g
  • Astra 100g
  • Cumin Seeds 4g
  • garlic x 5 cloves
  • Green Chilies x 2
  • Ginger x 1 inch
  • Tomato x 1
  • Chilli Powder x 4g
  • Curry Powder x 2g
  • Dried Red Chillies x 3
  • lime x 2


How To Make


  • Boil 1 Cup of Dhal with ½ Tsp of Tumeric and 1 Tsp of Salt in 1 1/2 Cups of Water using a pot or a pressure cooker
  • Transfer the boiled dhal to a bowl and add 1 Tbsp of Astra. Whisk it until it reaches a smooth consistency. Add water as needed
  • Heat 2 Tbsp of Astra in a pan and fry 1 Tsp of Cumin, 5 Cloves of thinly sliced Garlic, 1 chopped Green Chili, 1 Tsp of Ginger Paste, 10 Curry Leaves, 1 diced Tomato. To this add 1 Tsp of Turmeric, 1/4 Tsp of Chilli Powder, 1/4 Tsp of Curry Powder and mix.
  • Lastly, add 2 Dried Red Chillies and temper all the spices
  • Set a little of the tempered spice mix aside for garnishing
  • Add the previously prepared dhal to the pan. To it, add 1 Tbsp of Lemon Juice, 1 Tsp of Salt, Coriander Leaves and stir everything together
  • Top with the remainder of the tempered spice mix and let it simmer
